Fleet Robot #1 Delivered to St Kentigerns: A New Era of Sports Field Marking Begins
In a significant milestone for the Fleet Line Markers team, the first Fleet Robot has officially been delivered to its new home at St Kentigern College. After a busy couple of days, the teams from Fleet and Wrybill successfully installed the base station and ensured that Robot #1 was ready for action.
Graeme Martin from Saint Kentigern College shared his initial thoughts on the new addition to their marking fleet. "The latest addition to our marking fleet was the arrival of the Fleet Robot. After trialling it for several days, it has exceeded my expectations. The expected developments are eagerly awaited, and I look forward to rigorous testing of the Robot," he said.
During the setup phase, the Fleet Robot demonstrated its capabilities by successfully painting a football field and a rugby field. In addition to the execution of the markings, the Robot provided valuable data, including the time required to paint a complete field. This data will play a crucial role in refining and further developing the Fleet Robot to meet the evolving needs of the industry.
Graeme plans to continue rigorous testing by experimenting with different paint mixes and nozzle sizes. His ongoing feedback will be essential in optimizing the Fleet Robot's performance and ensuring it meets the highest standards in sports field marking.
As the Fleet Robot begins its journey at St Kentigerns, the teams at Fleet Line Markers are excited about the possibilities this innovation brings. They are also looking forward to the rollout and delivery of the rest of the first run of Robots, marking the beginning of a new chapter in automated sports field marking.
